We present a completed MyKitchen project, challenging at least from the point of view of the terms imposed by the work plan: a kitchen configured almost exclusively based on criteria of functionality, ergonomics and comfort. In other words, a kitchen where the aesthetic appeal is found in strict correspondence with the functional character of each constituent element. The end result, an eminently rigorous kitchen, a true laboratory, well organized and with a layout designed to make the most of the available space.
Laboratory rigor
It is therefore no coincidence that this project is based on an already established ‘recipe’, verified and successfully applied by designers who know how to correctly handle and distribute the working ‘ingredient’ variables, in order to create original and personalized solutions. It is undoubtedly the well-known catalog model called ‘Lab’, from Binova Cucine.
The beneficiaries of the project, Alexandra and Alecsandru, are a young family and parents, and the main concern related to the kitchen project plan was to achieve a lucrative kitchen space, based on premium materials, and at the same time resistant and safe in the face of potential injury hazards of its smallest member.

A timeless and versatile material
Glass is undeniably the distinctive element of this exceptional project. The glass fronts, with their elegant shade “Beige Kenia,” are created using a chemical blasting technology that gives them a super-matte texture. They are framed in subtle champagne aluminum. Glass was not chosen randomly, but with due care, taking into account the amazing results that this material brings to kitchen design. It’s no secret to those who follow MyKitchen that glass fronts remain our first recommendation for those who want the ultimate in modern kitchen design.
In fact, glass fronts are not only an aesthetic option, but also a practical one. They reflect and amplify light, giving the kitchen a bright air and a special stature. Their durability and strength are equally impressive, ensuring that this kitchen will remain just as stunning over time. Glass fronts are certainly a top choice for those who value both looks and functionality.
In turn, X-Tone sintered ceramic tops, with their elegant “Taj Mahal” touch, represent not only an attractive aesthetic appearance, but also a solution based on criteria of practicability and resistance over time.
Sintered ceramics offer a smooth and elegant surface that can be interpreted in many ways. But beyond its appearance, sintered ceramic hides an unparalleled strength. It is a reliable material for kitchen worktops, resistant to scratches, shocks and high temperatures. This is a crucial consideration for active kitchens, where durability is as important as appearance.
In the “LAB” project, the “Metal Ottone” color brings a touch of contrast and personality, being applied by hand using powder and metal oxide painting techniques. This finish not only adds an extra touch of sophistication, but also creates an elegant connection with other elements in the home, which can also include patinated metal accents. The fine contour lines of “Champagne” aluminum help emphasize the details and maintain a subtle balance between all design elements.
The worktop and “Integra” sink, both made of ceramic, are examples of the concern for perfect functionality and aesthetics. The sink, perfectly integrated into the worktop, not only adds a touch of elegance, but also makes work in the kitchen easier. The induction hob, in turn, not only optimizes the space, but also complements the overall aesthetic, offering a modern and efficient solution for cooking.
So, behind these design choices lies a deep understanding of functionality and an appetite for perfect aesthetics. It is proof that, in the “LAB” project, no concession was made in terms of quality and style.
In this composition of colors and textures, the two predominant shades, “Beige Kenya” and “Taj Mahal,” basically come from two different color universes, but surprisingly, they complement each other harmoniously. In their contrast, “Metal Ottone” intervenes, which is not only an element of contrast, but also a connecting bridge to the other elements in the home, where accents and colors can be found.
Subtle details or contrast areas are not just decorative elements. They play an essential role in the subtle dialogue of the surfaces: they not only merge, but also define the limits, giving an aesthetic and functional balance to the project.
This Binova “LAB” kitchen communicates an elegance that stands out through rigor, while remaining open to individual interpretations and fine adjustments. It is a meticulous project, the result of a rational approach and undeniable attention to detail. It is certainly a design that transcends time and remains an authentic expression of timeless aesthetics.
