An open space kitchen project that combines modesty with extravagance to achieve an aesthetic balance.

We started the project with the island that would delimit the kitchen space from the living space in terms of volume, so the island became a central point for socialization.

The wine cooler in the center of the island serves as a symbolic element of separation between the functional kitchen (for cooking) and the bar area with the glass showcases on the right (for socializing).

On the left side of the oven, the Rovere Monza wooden columns hide the heating installation behind a door with a Gola-type opening for direct access to the manual settings.

A resistance pillar is masked on the left side of the bases and suspended units (in Visone bilaminate), camouflaged by the wall cladding and the Emperador ceramic countertop.

In terms of composition, notice the alignment between the upper suspended units that are continued with the line of the upper columns and are continued further with the top line of the showcases to draw a visual horizon based on geometric discipline.

The Emperador ceramic countertop for the bases workspace (12 mm) alternates with the island countertop (8 cm), to continue the suggestion of the play of heights on a symbolic level. We chose this extravagant finish to work with a material that takes precedence over the white marble of the floor.

An aesthetic and functional detail is the Roman window blind that conceals the absence of an additional volume of furniture to achieve geometric continuity.

As we move from the kitchen to the living room we have a TV console made from Fenix that offers a counterpoint between the natural wood of the columns and a technological material for the multimedia area.

In terms of technology, the kitchen includes the hob, the hood, a dishwasher, a steam oven, a refrigerator (hidden in columns) and a wine cooler.
