Composite (Quartz)

Kitchen construction materials

Although the term composite is among the most common used these days when it comes to kitchen furniture, the term is a very vague one, often used intentionally incorrectly, to create a pretentious image of another material (e.g.: laminate or HPL countertops).

The range of composite materials actually refers to Quartz slabs obtained by compacting particles of quartz, natural stone and silicon with thermo-active resins.

The range of finishes is very large, and Quartz offers very good performance, being generally used as kitchen countertops and wall cladding elements.

NB: Quartz is only recommended in his natural glossy state. In matt surface variants, quartz will stain and impregnate very easily and will be difficult to maintain.

Pros and cons

  • High resistance, wide range of finishes, moderately priced.
  • We strongly advise against matte surface finishes.

Typologies

  • Various colours and models
